Food Storage Meals & Menu Planning - Dinner: Spaghetti!

Today's Dinner Menu: Spaghetti!
Picture: I used plain sauce and added some of my
bottled stew meat and a little fresh parsley.
Spaghetti is one of the best shelf-stable meals
you can store!
Pasta has a shelf-life of 30 years when you
put it into #10 cans with an oxypack and seal it.
The Drypack Cannery will let you check the
canner out for FREE!
Take it home, and can whatever kinds of
pasta you would like.
The Sauce can be homemade, bottled, from a can, or from a
combination of cans and a packet mix.
This is an EASY way to quickly build your Food Storage.
Spaghetti Sauce and Pasta are very inexpensive.

Just in case you would like to make your own sauce . . .
Here's a GREAT Canning Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 lb. Ground Beef
1 cup Chopped Onion
2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
4 (8-ounce) cans Tomato Sauce
1 (15-ounce) can Crushed Tomatoes
1 Bay Leaf
2 tsp. Oregano
2 tsp. Basil
1/4 tsp. Salt
Instructions:
Brown beef, onion, and garlic in a large pot.  Drain off grease.
Stir in tomato sauce and seasonings.
Bring to a boil. Simmer 15 minutes or more, stirring occasionally.
Fill Quart Jars and Clean the Rims.
Leave 1/2" Headspace.
Put on new lids and tighten with rings.
Put into the PRESSURE CANNER
with 2 to 3 inches of water
and
Process for 90 Minutes
at 15 lbs. psi.
Follow the instructions included with your Pressure Canner.
Make sure the pressure has gone back down before
removing the jars.
Makes two quarts.
By the way:  This recipe is GLUTEN-FREE!
5 X's this recipe and you'll have enough sauce
for 10 MEALS.
Don't FORGET the PASTA!

This would be a fabulous way for me to cycle all of the tomato sauce and chunks I already have. It will get USED that way rather than buying Ragu. Thanks!
